Wont shut off, boils dry.

I have had 3 of these kettles that will not shut off and boil dry. They work great for about 4 months then start not shutting off. I have several other Muller products and am very pleased.

Greatest teapot EVER!

Love the auto shut off and the time in which the water is heated. We use distilled, so we have never had any problems with scaling or having to clean the small filter! Thank you for a great product!

Cordless kettle

This is the best electric kettle ever! Heats up quickly. I bought this to take on bacation and business trips since the coffee makers in hotel rooms gross me out and I am an avid tea drinker. It is perfect! Well made and doesn't take up much room. It is a glass pot so I have to pack it with care but this will be an essential item in my luggage. I highly recommend the cordless kettle.

Not just bad - terrible

I don't know what American quality and European engineering are said in the advertisement, but less than a year later, the kettle lost contact with the base. I had to disassemble the base and bend the electrical contacts. This is apparently an American quality! A few more months passed and the lid at first ceased to close-open normally, and then fell off altogether. An autopsy revealed that the plastic hinge was too thin and simply cracked. It is quite possible to make it thicker there. But this, apparently, is European engineering!
The kettle was still under warranty and I called the phone number listed in the warranty card. I was told that the warehouse or workshop (whatever) had moved to another city from Toronto and I have to mail this broken lid to them at my own expense and then they will send a new one. They don't believe pictures! You know guys, it's easier for me to buy a new kettle, and not Mueller!
